Statistical Standards

To ensure data quality and international comparability, we adhere to the following standards:

System of National Accounts (SNA)

Economic data, including GDP and sector contributions, follows the SNA 2008 framework adopted by the ONS for consistent macroeconomic accounting.

Demographic Projections

Population estimates between census years are based on the Component Method (births, deaths, and net migration).

Labor Statistics

Unemployment and labor force participation definitions align with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.

Data Processing

Raw data is processed to enhance readability without altering the underlying statistical truth.

  • Normalization: Values are converted to consistent units (e.g., standardizing currency to billions/millions).
  • Visualization: Data is rendered into vector charts for clarity.
  • Trend Analysis: Compound Annual Growth Rates (CAGR) and Year-over-Year (YoY) changes are calculated to provide context.
